My name is Gary Fletcher and I am a qualified person centred counsellor and registered member of the BACP.
I have my own private practice supporting private clients and teaching staff in educational settings. I work at the Alder Centre at Alder Hey Hospital as a bereavement counsellor. I also work as a child counsellor for a national children's mental health charity and have worked for Macmillan at Halton Hospital as a counsellor for cancer patients and their families. During this time I have supported many clients with a large scope of needs from depression, anxiety, bereavement, cancer treatment, disability, loss, eating disorders, pregnancy related issues, relationships, self-esteem, suicidal feelings and trauma, to name a few.
My passion is working as a counsellor supporting people with many differing needs from a wide variety of professional and private backgrounds. I offer compassion and understanding with the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism, coupled with extensive experience in a number of other professional areas enabling me to connect and empathise with my clients.
The services I offer are a scaffold to help and improve on what is needed, to sustain and build on those building blocks of growth and success.
